The Turkey Human Resources Education and Health Foundation (TİKAV), established by Akfen Holding, continues to provide education to women and families living in 27 different rural areas across 18 provinces of Turkey with the “Our Digital Footprint” project, supported by Akfen Renewable Energy company’s electricity generation plant investments.

The “Our Digital Footprint” project, focusing on the beneficial and correct use of digital platforms, which will continue throughout the year 2024, completed its trainings in April.

Turkey Human Resources Education and Health Foundation (TİKAV), established by Akfen Holding with the aim of supporting different segments of society through social responsibility projects and celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, continues to support women and families living in rural areas with education through the “Our Digital Footprint” project, realized with the financial support of Akfen Renewable Energy. Throughout the year 2024, TİKAV, which enlightens women in rural areas living around Solar, Wind, and Hydroelectric Power Plants located in 18 provinces and 27 different locations across Turkey about the digital world, conducted its April trainings in Üçpınar Village in Geyve district of Sakarya and İntepe Neighborhood in Lapseki district of Çanakkale.

In the conducted trainings, women living in rural areas were educated about the beneficial and correct use of digital platforms, and the legal, social, physiological, and psychological problems that may arise from the unconscious use of digital platforms were addressed. In addition, awareness training was provided to prevent cognitive crimes, psychological, physical, sociological, and cultural problems that both participant women and family members may experience in this context.

Offered as a social responsibility model suitable for the requirements of the modern age, the “Our Digital Footprint” project aims to create social awareness against the challenges brought by the digital age and to raise awareness among women living in rural areas in this digital age, with the support of TİKAV and Akfen Renewable Energy. Throughout the year 2024, within the scope of the “Our Digital Footprint” project, seminars will continue to be organized in 27 locations belonging to Akfen Renewable Energy, providing education on how to exist securely in the digital world, thus continuing the education of women and families on raising awareness.
