One of the World’s Leading Youth Programs Grows in Turkey under TİKAV’s Representation

The International Youth Award Program, represented by TİKAV in Turkey, is known as one of the world’s leading youth programs, implemented in over 130 countries. All young people aged 14-24 can participate in the program voluntarily. The Award Program aims to help young people discover and develop themselves personally, gain self-confidence, and build self-discipline.

To receive the Award, young people need to engage in activities for Voluntary Service, Physical Development, and Skills Development for one hour per week and participate in Adventure and Exploration Journeys. The program, which has reached 13 million young people worldwide, is notable for being a primary selection criterion for admission to jobs and universities globally.

About the International Youth Award Program:

The International Youth Award Program started in 1956 in the United Kingdom under the name The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award with the support of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. To date, it has reached more than 13 million young people in over 130 countries worldwide and over 20,000 young people in our country. The program started in Turkey in 2003 as the “International Youth Award Association,” a personal development program for young people aged 14-24. In 2013, with the License Agreement signed with the International Award Foundation in England, it continued to be implemented as an international project under the name “The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award-Turkey” (DoEIA-TR) under the representation of TİKAV. Since 2020, TİKAV has been the only authorized institution to introduce, implement, supervise, and certify the International Youth Award-Turkey program in Turkey.
