Akfen Group Companies Achieve Top Scores in Their Categories from International Climate Change Rating Organization CDP

Akfen Holding, Akfen Renewable Energy, Akfen Construction, and Akfen REIT have taken another significant step in integrating environmental responsibility into their business processes by achieving remarkable success in the 2024 climate change and water security assessment conducted by the prestigious environmental reporting platform, the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).
Accordingly, Akfen Renewable Energy, Akfen REIT, and Akfen Construction received a B score, the highest rating in the SME category for Climate Change. Meanwhile, Akfen Holding also secured a B score in the Climate Change category and a B- score in the Water Security category. These achievements underscore the companies’ strong approach to environmental management and their firm commitment to sustainability.

Emre Sezgin, Akfen Group’s Sustainability Leader, emphasized that sustainability trends in recent years have gone beyond environmental concerns, driving major transformations in areas such as innovation, green technologies, and carbon neutrality. The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), recognized as one of the world’s most prestigious environmental reporting platforms, has announced the 2024 climate change and water security ratings. CDP hosts the world’s largest climate database and evaluates corporate efforts in climate change, water security, and deforestation. Based on the latest assessment, Akfen Renewable Energy, Akfen REIT, and Akfen Construction, having applied under the SME category, achieved a B score in Climate Change, the highest rating in this category. Akfen Holding received a B score for Climate Change and a B- score for Water Security. These results highlight the companies’ strong environmental management strategies and commitment to sustainability.
