Akfen Holding’s volunteer group, Akfen Volunteers, will participate in the 46th Istanbul Marathon, sponsored by Türkiye İş Bankası, on Sunday, November 3, 2024, to run and raise donations for the Turkish Human Resources, Education, and Health Foundation’s (TİKAV) “Equality in Education Project.”
Akfen Volunteers will join this meaningful event with a large group to raise awareness and gather donations to support equal educational opportunities for youth. Every step taken will symbolize a hopeful stride toward creating opportunities for university students, especially in the Eastern and Southeastern regions of Turkey, allowing them to look to the future with optimism.
Bringing together 100 employees under the name ‘Akfen Volunteers,’ this group aims to highlight the importance of equal educational opportunities for young people and to gather donations. Each step will serve as a hopeful stride for the future of youth.
AKFEN VOLUNTEERS TO RUN FOR YOUTH
Since 1999, TİKAV has supported young people facing social and economic challenges through its Individual Development Program (BGP), providing them with personal, cultural, and academic growth opportunities. By creating pathways for university students in Turkey’s Eastern and Southeastern regions, the program helps them envision a hopeful future. This year, funds raised through the Istanbul Marathon will help more young people benefit from these opportunities.
With each step taken in the Istanbul Marathon, Akfen Volunteers aim to support youth education and increase the resources needed to help them realize their potential. TİKAV’s Equality in Education Project strives to cultivate young people as socially responsible, tolerant, and continually learning individuals open to growth. Akfen employees will embody the spirit of solidarity and support in the Istanbul Marathon.
25 YEARS OF TİKAV’S INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Volunteers can join TİKAV’s campaign on the “Adım Adım” platform or create profiles on the “Run for Good” portal to raise funds for the Equality in Education Project. Through this campaign, everyone can contribute to the personal development of young people during and after the Istanbul Marathon.
The donation campaign will run from October 21 to November 18. By raising funds, participants will bring hope to young people across Turkey, supporting their education and personal growth.
For 25 years, TİKAV’s Individual Development Program has provided academic and cultural support to young people, helping them develop leadership skills and personal growth opportunities for a stronger future. Through their participation in this year’s marathon, Akfen Volunteers will enable more youth to benefit from the opportunities offered by the BGP.
